Asia Pacific Food & Cold Chain Cooperation
Dalian, China. China Federation of Logistic & Purchasing (CFLP) created a collaboration-based platform called Asia Pacific Food & Cold Chain Cooperation (APFCCC). This platform serves as a communication tool as well as a catalyst for the development of cold chain industry in Asia Pacific.
The President of CFLP, Duanwei Fan, stated that APFCCC will bring added values for its members by opening new business partner network, conducting trainings, updating regulation, and creating machine reliability and monitoring operation standard with low cost and risk.
President of Korea Food Cold Chain Assosiation, Myung-So Chung, expressed that the participation of members in this cooperation will enhance technological information and expand beneficial business market.
APFCCC’s memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday, on 11 July 2017 in Dalian, China as an agenda of an inter-association meeting which was attended by representatives from China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia (ARPI), Taiwan, Philippines, and Hongkong. This meeting was held within the agenda of Global Cold Chain Summit which is attended by more than 800 participants from 32 countries.
To ARPI, as a representative from Indonesia, this collaboration will bring a positive impact due to the rise of interest from foreign investors in widening cold chain infrastructure in Indonesia, especially cold logistics and cold transportation using truck and railway. This too may accelerate technological mastery for local industry.
